A Dream Come True
As a passionate traveler and longtime hotel guest, I’ve come to appreciate what truly makes a stay memorable — soulful design, quiet comfort, and genuine hospitality. Over the years, this sparked a vision: to create a place that brings all these elements together.
For my husband, the dream was simpler — a peaceful home in the serene Wachau Valley. When the opportunity arose, we combined our dreams and created The Red Gate, a small boutique hotel in the heart of Spitz an der Donau.
Though my background is in orthodontics, it never felt like my true path. Now, in shaping this place, I’ve found deep fulfillment— through creativity, connection, and offering others a space to feel at home.
The Red Gate is more than a hotel— it’s a dream realized and a new beginning we’re grateful for every day.
A Place to Learn, Share, and Connect
As an orthodontist, I’ve always found joy not just in practicing, but in sharing knowledge. Teaching and connecting with colleagues around the world became one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
When Susanna and I moved to Spitz an der Donau, I saw the chance to turn that passion into a new chapter.
The result is The Red Gate Saloon - a multifunctional space with a professional lecture room and a cozy lounge, perfect for my and your courses, guest talks, seminars, dinners, or celebrations.
